Tria Grand Prix brings together three months of trading, nine rounds of cash rewards, daily Gacha draws, and two Ferrari Paddock Club tickets. behind the competition is a simple idea: give traders something worth competing for, and an experience they want to keep using.
in our recent X Space, Tria co-founder Parth joined Bry from Decibel and host Ronald Tato to discuss the thinking behind the Grand Prix. from choosing the prize to making room for smaller traders, here's what went into the race.
why Ferrari Paddock Club became the prize
previous Tria competitions rewarded users through cash, points, and mystery boxes. for the Grand Prix, we wanted an experience someone would still talk about with friends years later. that led to Ferrari Paddock Club at Suzuka, where the top two qualifying championship traders will earn their seats. cash rewards remain part of the competition through the nine rounds, giving participants plenty to compete for along the way.
how smaller traders can take part
the season leaderboard is one way to compete, with shorter rounds and daily draws offering other opportunities. Round 1 included both volume and profit-and-loss leaderboards, giving participants different ways to place. the daily draw takes another approach: $10,000 in eligible daily volume earns one entry for a chance to win a $50 Gacha pack. trading more that day does not earn extra entries, so every qualifying trader gets the same single ticket.
what the 20% Decibel fee rebate adds
eligible trades made through Tria on Decibel qualify for a 20% rebate on fees paid to Decibel during the campaign. those fees are calculated monthly, with rebates available to claim through the existing rewards flow the following month. eligible maker rebates, liquidation rebates, and other Decibel campaigns also remain available. as Bry explained, the value comes from adding rewards to trading activity people already intended to do.
why onchain trading should feel simple
traders want their orders to execute quickly and their balances to be easy to manage. Decibel inside Tria brings that focus to a fully onchain trading experience, with orders, fills, and liquidations recorded on Aptos. users can check what happened while retaining control of their assets through self-custody. the technology matters because it supports a faster, clearer experience without making users manage every step behind it.
patience still matters during a trading competition
competition can make it tempting to chase someone else's position or take on more leverage. Bry highlighted emotional entries and copying trades without understanding them as common mistakes. his advice was to stay patient, keep room to reassess, and develop a trading style that fits your own understanding of the market. the rewards give people something to compete for, while leverage and liquidation remain risks every participant needs to understand.
what keeps people on Tria after the race
Parth used a simple example: win a round, receive the USDC reward, and use it to pay for dinner. bringing trading, earn products, wallets, and card balances into one app makes that connection easier. the team also discussed more competitions and opening Gacha to a wider audience, giving people more to explore beyond the Grand Prix. the aim is for someone who arrives for the competition to find an app that fits into their everyday life.
