eCash (ECX) is a planned fork of Bitcoin that will create a separate blockchain. For allocation rules, eligibility, and snapshot details, refer to the official ECX documentation.
Tria is a self-custodial, multi-chain wallet. Its role in supporting ECX is limited to wallet functionality for assets allocated to user-controlled addresses through the fork process.
Tria does not determine eligibility, set allocation amounts, or allocate ECX. These are governed by the ECX project's rules, independently of Tria.
ECX allocations and eligibility
Refer to the official ECX documentation for allocation rules, eligibility requirements, and snapshot details.
Scope of Tria's wallet support
Tria's ECX integration is focused on basic wallet functionality:
- Balance display: viewing ECX balances recorded on the network.
- Transaction history: reviewing ECX activity associated with the wallet.
- Receiving: receiving ECX on the supported network.
These functions provide access to assets recorded on the ECX chain. They do not determine whether an address receives an allocation or the amount allocated. Functionality is subject to network conditions and integration availability.
Sending availability
New networks can experience instability during their early operation. Sending availability therefore depends on network conditions and operational readiness.
Refer to Tria's official updates for confirmed transfer availability and any applicable restrictions.
Features outside the initial scope
The initial scope does not include ECX swaps, conversions, card top-ups, Earn, futures deposits, or Gacha.
USD pricing and price charts are also outside this scope. Balance display refers to the amount of ECX recorded on the network, rather than a dollar valuation.
Before transferring funds after the fork
The ECX project states that the fork itself does not move or convert BTC. However, subsequent transfers require care, because a transaction may be valid on both networks unless the appropriate protection is in place.
The project's guidance on transaction replay and coin splitting explains how BTC and ECX can be separated for independent transfers. Users should review the official ECX transfer guidance and follow the relevant wallet-specific instructions before moving funds.
An ECX balance appearing in a wallet does not, by itself, confirm that the assets have been separated for independent transfers.
Where to find information
